Some of the key highlights coming to An Tain:

This Autumn you can look forward to the best in cinema with the Louth International Film Festival taking over the venue from the 5th – 7th of September, their afternoon and evening film clubs, which includes the film ‘Four Mothers’. The festival are delighted to have the filmmakers, co-writer Colin Thornton writer/director Darren Thornton join them for a Q&A with their host Kelly Kierans on 30th September.

Looking for a great entertaining night out? You won’t want to miss It’s Wine O’ Clock with Norma Sheahan, The Royle Family’s Ricky Tomlinson, and Ardal O’ Hanlon, one of Ireland’s most loved comedians from the hit show Father Ted.

If your goal is to entertain the kids and make memories with your family, they have two fantastic family theatre shows, ‘Cautionary Tales’ which will give them their first taste of opera and ‘Fen’ a non-verbal story with a strong message to protect landscapes and the creatures that live there, along with the popular ‘Megaslam Wrestling’.

They also have a jam packed programme for Culture Night, with workshops in comic book making, dance and alternative photography, an outdoor offsite opera called the Scorched Earth Trilogy, family hangout in our foyer with face painting and balloon twisting and so much more.  All happening on Friday 19th September from 7pm – 9pm. So mark your calendar!

And remember An Tain accept Dundalk Shop Local Vouchers, so put them to good use and get your culture fix!
