To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg on June 7th, Ireland’s national day of free creativity for children and young people — An Táin Arts Centre is hosting a full day of free, fun-filled events for all ages to enjoy!
🖍 Super Saturday Family Hangout | 11am – 1pm
Drop in with your family and take part in arts and crafts, games, or just do some free play and enjoy a complimentary tea and coffee for Mum & Dad.

👾 A New Topography of Love | 10am – 4pm
Drop in and explore Dumbworld’s animated video-game opera experience. The piece plays out across seven chapters with three-interactive levels, all with one goal in common – to spread the love.
‘A New Topography of Love’ will run at An Táin Arts Centre from the 7th – 21st June 2025, during our opening hours, Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm.

Take an exciting journey through Dundalk’s vibrant murals, where the art tells its own stories! This audio play written by Calvin Magee, offers you a new way to experience Dundalk’s history and creativity. This is a self-guided tour.

🎨 Talkin’ Bout an Exhibition | 10am – 4pm
Step into a world of youthful imagination at Talkin’ Bout an Exhibition, a dynamic showcase celebrating Cruinniú na nÓg. Held in the Basement Gallery workshop room, this exhibition features prizewinning works from the WOWTH! Art Competition, evocative photography from Lens Twist Again with artist Karen Smyth, and original creations by AAEX Teens and Pebble Lane Studio.

🎭 Eternal Frame | 7pm
Experience iconic artworks as you’ve never seen them before in Eternal Frame—a captivating live art performance from the talented young ensemble of M.A.D. Youth Theatre. In this one-of-a-kind event, famous paintings are reimagined as living tableaus, staged within dramatic frames and brought to life through light, movement, and stillness.

💃 Rhythm Is A Dancer | 6:30pm
Get ready for an electrifying evening of music and movement at Rhythm Is A Dancer, a Cruinniú na nÓg celebration created by and for young people. This high-energy showcase features original compositions by local talent Jimmy Maguire, musicians from Grow Music, and the Music Generation Louth Harp Ensemble—brought to life on stage by vibrant performances from Karinova Varghese, dancers from Coastal Ballet Group, and Carmel Connolly’s Irish Dancing School.
A joyful fusion of sound and dance, shining a spotlight on Louth’s next generation of artists.
