Embark on an unforgettable journey through Dundalk’s streets and stories with Walk With Legends – a self-guided audio tour that brings art and Irish mythology to life.
Discover the vibrant murals that colour the town, each one telling a unique story from Ireland’s rich mythological past. As you walk, you’ll hear the voices of legendary figures like the fearless warrior Cúchulainn and the wise Saint Brigid, sharing their tales and secrets. Through your smartphone and headphones, the murals speak, transforming your surroundings into a living canvas of folklore and creativity.
This immersive experience begins at An Táin Arts Centre, where you can collect your Walk with Legends leaflet from the box office (open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–4pm). The tour is completely free, designed for children, young people, and the young at heart to explore at their own pace.
Created as part of Cruinniú na nÓg – Ireland’s National Day of Creativity for children and young people – this unique project runs from June to December 2025.
